My Story

Hello. I'm Natalie Herron, a trilingual psychotherapist and sex therapist originally from Stockholm, now living in London.

People have often asked me, Why therapy? Why sex therapy?! (They're always curious about the sex therapy bit!) And where did it all start?

My journey is one deeply rooted in connection—with people, places, art, music, food, nature, and sex. I thrive on moments of genuine connection, whether it's through a deep conversation with a friend, spontaneous interaction with a stranger on the town, being immersed in creativity or a quiet walk in the woods.

I grew up in a chaotic environment filled with financial stress, arguing, and the normal struggles of being a child of divorce. The emotional turmoil and my dysregulated nervous system led me to suffer from anxiety and depression in my early 20s, developing destructive habits and withdrawing from my social life.

My insecurities were massively impacting my relationships, both romantic and platonic. I was addicted to being in a relationship, terrified of being alone and getting abandoned, leading me to jealousy, anxiety, and a lack of boundaries due to constant compromise and loss of sense of self. Therapy helped me look inward. To understand myself, shed light on my triggers and patterns and gain vital life tools to start to heal. It was my turning point. Therapy ignited a sense of hope and self-empowerment. I started to gain control over my reactions and, ultimately, my happiness. This experience ignited my curiosity about the human mind.

Early on I noticed the taboos talking about sex, masturbation and pleasure, especially when it came to problems in these areas. Knowing the importance of sex and pleasure for our overall well-being, as well as the impact issues in the bedroom could have on relationships and vice versa, it didn't sit right with me. My purpose of dismantling these taboos and helping people improve their sex lives through knowledge and self-empowerment arose.

In 2020, amid my mother’s then-recent cancer diagnosis and the COVID-19 pandemic, I moved back to Stockholm from London, to start my training at Humanova. It wasn't easy; nothing worth doing ever is. Despite challenges and burnout, therapy massively helped me again, and I regained my well-being as well as, eventually, my diploma as a psychotherapist.

I share my journey because we all go through difficulties in life, and there is power in recognition. My experiences have given me a deep level of empathy and understanding, allowing me to create a judgment-free, safe and loving environment for my clients. My approach is holistic, centering around the individual person, and I want to break free from labels and traditional methods. My mission is to dismantle taboos, humanize and empower my clients in their journey towards healing, a fulfilling life, healthy relationships, authentic well-being, and, if you are going to sex therapy with me.. more pleasure and good sex.

With roots in Sweden, England, and Austria, I am happy to offer therapy in Swedish, English, and German.
